Twinpalms invests in the continual development of our people. Team members are rewarded with opportunities for progression that are unique. For example, we have recently sent teams from our beach club to Ibiza and to Provence in France to learn about other beach clubs, music genres, cuisine presentation, to imbibe other cultures to then come home and put this essential wanderlust experience into practice. We build our team spirit to be ‘In Tune, In Touch and Inspired’ to deliver the Twinpalms brand standards.
This new hotel will launch with a policy of no single-use plastic as much as possible. This means alternatives to plastic straws, packaging for bathroom amenities, water bottles and other items that contribute to ocean pollution will be used. Bamboo straws, glass bottles and our signature locally sourced bath time products will be dispensed in ceramics, stationery will be provided on recycled paper and energy-saving LED lights and auto air conditioning mechanisms implemented to reduce energy wastage.
Our proximity to the sea is our unique selling point, but it is also our responsibility to make sure our beaches and ocean are as plastic free as possible. Of course, we clean our beach daily, but we also encourage our guests to respect our ocean as much as possible. Our seafood and vegetables are sourced locally, thus reducing carbon emissions significantly by not importing a large number of perishable goods.
We also respect our indigenous wildlife and have committed to uphold an ‘Anti-Animal Exploitation Policy’. Our guests are encouraged to visit and engage in tourism activities that do not use animals for entertainment, but rather experience ethical animal tourism and cultural tourism experiences on offer in Phuket. We do not sell tickets or accept commissions for tours and shows that exploit captive animals, such as elephant rides and shows, fishing tours, tiger and dolphin shows.
